01Who we are
Move Out Cleaning (“we”, “us”) provides end of lease, bond and related cleaning services in Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Questions about this policy can be sent to info@moveoutcleaning.com.au.
02What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote, book and deliver a clean. This may include:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- the property address, suburb, postcode, property type and size, and access notes;
- your preferred dates and times, the service and extras you choose, and any promo or gift card code;
- messages you send us, booking and payment records, and feedback or ratings you give after a job;
- if you agree to analytics cookies, information about how you use this website (see section 7).
We don't ask for sensitive information (such as health information) and ask that you don't send it.
03How we collect it
Mostly directly from you: through our quote form, by phone, email or message, and when you book. Property managers, landlords or agents may also give us details so we can access a property.
Unfinished quote forms: if you type your name and an email or phone number into the quote form but leave without submitting, we may keep those details so we can follow up on your enquiry once. If you'd rather we didn't, tell us and we'll delete them.
04Why we use it
- to prepare quotes, schedule and carry out cleans, and contact you about your booking;
- to take payment, issue invoices and keep business records we're required to keep;
- to handle re-clean requests, complaints and feedback, and to improve our service;
- to send occasional offers or reminders, only where permitted. Every marketing email lets you unsubscribe, or you can ask us at info@moveoutcleaning.com.au.
05Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our service, with:
- the cleaners and contractors assigned to your job (name, address, access details and job notes);
- the property manager, landlord or agent you ask us to coordinate with;
- service providers that run our systems, such as cloud hosting and database (Google Firebase / Google Cloud), email and SMS delivery, and payment processing;
- authorities where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Australia (for example in the United States). Where that happens we take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it consistently with the APPs.
06Storage and security
Your information is stored electronically with reputable cloud providers and is accessible only to staff and contractors who need it. We use access controls and encrypted connections. We keep records only as long as we need them for the purposes above or as required by law (for example tax records), then delete or de-identify them.
07Cookies and analytics
This site works without tracking cookies. With your consent (via the cookie banner) we use Google Analytics, provided through Google Firebase, to understand which pages are useful. It sets cookies and sends usage data, such as pages viewed and approximate location, to Google. Analytics never loads unless you accept, and you can change your choice at any time using “Cookie preferences” in the footer.
08Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@moveoutcleaning.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and in limited cases the law lets us decline (we'll explain why).
09Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, contact us first at info@moveoutcleaning.com.au and we'll try to resolve it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page. See also our terms of service.
